Tosh is the kind of place that does not reveal itself easily. You have to earn it. The road from Barshaini up to Tosh is roughly 4–5 kilometres, but what a 5 kilometres it is — narrow enough that two bikes struggle to pass each other in places, with the valley dropping away steeply on one side and the cliff rising on the other. It demands full attention and genuine riding skill.
But when you arrive? The village sits at around 2,400 metres, surrounded by towering peaks on three sides, with views that will genuinely stop you mid-breath. Tosh has a small collection of guesthouses, a few cafes with terraces overlooking the valley, and a peace that Kasol's popularity makes harder to find these days.
Tosh is not a place you pass through. It is a destination in itself. Riders who make it up are rewarded with some of the most spectacular mountain views in Parvati Valley, and the ride back down — once you know the road — is pure joy. Malana is in a category of its own.
